The Regional Cultural Strategies (RCS) outline the overarching cultural themes and priorities for the Maltese islands from 2022 onwards. These cultural strategies were developed with the Regional Councils, Local Councils, non-governmental cultural organisations, Public Cultural Organisations, creative practitioners and residents of the localities.

Gozo Regional Cultural Strategy

The Gozo Region includes the following localities: Fontana, Għajnsielem, Għarb, Għasri, Ta’ Kerċem, Munxar, Nadur, Qala, Victoria, San Lawrenz, Ta’ Sannat, Xagħra, Xewkija and Żebbuġ.

North Regional Cultural Strategy

The Northern Region includes the following localities: Mellieħa, Mġarr, Mosta, Naxxar, St Paul’s Bay, Ħ’Attard, Ħal Balzan, San Ġwann and Mtarfa.

The Eastern Region includes the following localities: Ħal Lija, Tas-Sliema, St Julian’s, Gżira, Tal-Pietà, Msida, Ta’ Xbiex, Iklin, Ħal Għargħur, Pembroke, Swieqi and Birkirkara.

West Regional Cultural Strategy

The Western Region includes the following localities: Mdina, Siġġiewi, Ħaż-Żebbuġ Ħad-Dingli, Rabat (Malta), Ħal Kirkop, Imqabba, Qrendi, Ħal Safi and Żurrieq.

Port Regional Cultural Strategy 

The Port Region includes the following localities: Valletta, Vittoriosa, Senglea, Cospicua, Ħaż-Żabbar, Floriana, Fgura, Kalkara, Ħal Tarxien, Paola and Xgħajra.
