The Young Talent supports the development and exposure of young Maltese or Malta based artists who are active in the cultural and creative sectors. The fund supports short term training opportunities which enhance, but do not substitute or subsidise, the students’ current formation programme. The grant also supports the participation of young creatives in international platforms; including but are not limited to festivals, competitions, exhibitions and/or performances. The programme is open to all young creatives, including those active in the following fields; backstage, audio-visuals, set design, marketing, management, performing arts and visual arts.

The objectives of this grant are:

  • To support the development and mobility of young creatives through training opportunities, exploration, networking and engagement in international collaborations.
  • To encourage and facilitate young creatives to expand their skills and actively engage in international platforms.
  • To enable the exposure of young talent to international platforms. 


Who can apply?

The grant is open to individual artists; Groups, Collectives and Consortia; Voluntary Organisations; Registered Cooperatives; Entities registered with the Malta Business Registry (including companies, partnerships, foundations and organisations/associations).

Deadline

The deadline to apply is Tuesday 15th June 2021 at noon. Late applications cannot be accepted.

The ArtsEd Intensive Summer Musical Theatre Experience and Audition Technique Training is an intensive two weeks' training programme targeting musical theatre students aged 17 and over ahead of their drama school auditions. The Company of Dance Arts is made up of versatile dancers who are the most senior dancers of the Academy of Dance Arts, one of the leading dance schools on the island. The Company dancers were selected following a rigorous audition process held last summer and have since been training on a daily basis. The company will be participating in four online workshops in classical ballet of 1.5 hours each delivered online by The Hammond School senior ballet teachers; four online workshops of 1.5 hours each in contemporary dance, delivered by The Hammond School contemporary teacher faculty; four in-studio workshops of 1.5 hours each in Flamenco by Deborah Falzon accompanied by a Spanish guitarist and four online workshops of 1.5 hours each in commercial delivered by Lindon Barr.
